The Tshong Tshong Ma Foundation was established under the patronage of His Eminence Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche, led by his students Venerable Khenpo Sangay Gyatseo, Khenpo Pema Norbu, and Khenpo Tshulthrim Woesung. The foundation’s mission is to support the welfare of Chhoegar Dhuedhuel Phodrang Monastery, which was founded in 2012 in Pemagatshel District. This year marked a significant moment of faith for the community with the historic visit of Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche.
The foundation operates as an apolitical, non-profit, and non-governmental organization, officially registered with the Commission for Religious Organizations (CRO) on May 27, 2011, under Registration No. CRO/RC-24/2011/000034. It is also recognized as a Tax Exemption Organization by the Department of Revenue and Customs, Ministry of Finance, under Tax Exemption code E109, Royal Government of Bhutan.
The management structure includes a Chairman, General Secretary, General Treasurer, and a Board of Directors composed of community members and civil servants. All accounting is done in compliance with the Financial Rules and Regulations of the Royal Government of Bhutan and is subject to audit by competent authorities.

Importantly, individuals or business enterprises that contribute financially or donate in-kind to the foundation can claim these donations as deductible expenses, offering a tax benefit to supporters.

The foundation aspires to be an economically sustainable and dynamic religious organization, dedicated to preserving and promoting Bhutan’s hereditary culture and traditions. It envisions protecting and expanding the teachings of Buddha Dharma across Bhutan and beyond, ensuring its enduring legacy for generations to come.

By governing the judicious use and management of its assets, the Foundation ensures long-term sustainability while fulfilling its purpose of promoting spiritual and cultural values for the benefit of current and future generations.

Objective

Promoting Dharma Awareness
Develop innovative strategies to inspire and motivate individuals to appreciate, understand, and embrace the value of Buddha Dharma as the true source of happiness.
Fundraising for Monastic Welfare.
Mobilize resources to provide free meals, clothing, and other necessities for monks, yogis, and members of the monastery.

Infrastructure Development
Secure funds for constructing essential monastery infrastructure.
Supporting Educational Needs
Cover the costs of educational materials, stationery, and other learning resources for monks, yogis, and other members of the monastery.
Enhancing Ritual Practices
Facilitate regular and periodic performances of Drupchoe, Fest Offerings, and other religious ceremonies. Extend spiritual services, including funeral rites, especially for underprivileged individuals within and beyond the community.
Engaging Youth in Buddhism
Inspire and encourage younger generations to uphold and actively participate in Buddhist practices, fostering a sense of belonging and cultural continuity.
Enhancing Community Well-being
Strengthen the psycho-social and spiritual well-being of the community through Buddhist teachings, meditative practices, and outreach programs.
