Chhoegar Dhuedhuel Phodrang Monastery

Perched atop the tranquil hills of Ningshing Borang village, Chhoegar Dhuedhuel Phodrang Monastery symbolizes the community's steadfast devotion to Buddha Dharma. Established in 2012, the monastery's foundation marked a historic occasion—the first visit of His Eminence Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche to the Pemagatshel community.
During this significant visit, His Eminence performed the Tshokbum (a hundred-thousand-feast offering) dedicated to Dakin Singdongma (Singhamukha), a revered female deity. The sacred event drew devotees from far and near, offering them rare teachings, blessings, and inspiration. This occasion also motivated local children to embrace monastic education, forming the monastery's first batch of students under Rinpoche's blessings.
Chhoegar Dhuedhuel Phodrang Monastery now accommodates 40 monks under the guidance of its three Khenpos. The monastery continues to be sustained through the generous support of local villagers and a few dedicated sponsors, fostering an environment of spiritual growth and community dedication.
The monastery serves as a beacon of spiritual growth and learning, fostering the community's dedication to Buddhist teachings while nurturing the next generation of practitioners.
