Infrastructure Development

    Current Situation
Currently, the Institute provides Buddhist education to over thirty students in a semi-permanent structure. Located on the hill that experiences incessant rainfall in the summer, the lack of proper structure is a daunting challenge to the Institute to provide quality education to the students. As the students attain higher level of grades, the need to have an appropriate study hall, meditation hall, dormitory, among others, would be inevitable. Creating an infrastructure that supports conducive learning environment would go a long way in achieving the vision of providing quality education to the students. Therefore, the Institutes find it indispensable to create the following infrastructures to promote congenial learning environment for the teachers and students of the Institute.
    Civil structures

Considering the differential needs against the level of grades, following structures are prerequisites to promote different levels of education.

    1. Construction of 12 Retreat Structures for the following Programs:
Estimated cost of per Retreat Hut : Nu.2,87,180.00 (Ngultrum Two Lakhs Eighty Seven Thousand One Hundred Eighty only) Approx USD 4418 only.
    1.1 Annual Retreat for Students
Retreat structures are very important for students to practice Meditation/Retreat annually. After completing philosophy, students can avail the opportunity to go on a retreat to practice mindfulness, Meditation. Retreat Session from four fold of foundation to highest level of Practice and to provided ShedupZungjug, can span from 3 days to 3 months.
1.2 Annual Retreat Program for Lay-Monks:
Gomchens (Lay-Monks) in the local communities can avail opportunity of undertaking retreat session the duration ranging from 3 days to 3 years. This will involve the practice of highest level of Awareness Meditation. At present, such opportunities are not available in the communities, and people have to go to monasteries in other districts.
1.3 Annual Retreat Program for age-old People in the communities
It is a common scene that age old people in the communities deprive of opportunities to practice Buddha dharma despite their keen interest and passion. Common people can avail opportunity to undertake preliminary practices under the guidance of the Institute
    2. Construction of Isolated Meditation Hall
Estimated cost : Nu.500,000 (Ngultrum Five Hundred Thousand only) Approx USD 7600 only.
Currently, there is no Meditation Hall where teachers can teach the students on meditation. For effective transfer of teachings on meditation, it is imperative that a separate meditation hall is established. This hall can be used for imparting of meditation practices as well as for dzongchen teachings for people in the community.
    3. Construction of Resident for Teachers
Estimated cost : Nu.300,000 (Ngultrum Five Hundred Thousand only) Approx USD 4500 only.
At present, there are four teachers but there is no residence for teachers. Building residence in the campus would provide excellent opportunities both for teachers and students to maintain constant interface that can promote personal and professional growth of students. It is, therefore, indispensable that residents for teachers are built in the premises.
    4. Construction of Prayer Hall
Estimated cost : Nu.800,000 (Ngultrum Eight Hundred Thousand only) Approx USD 12000 only.
Prayer hall is an important shrine for all the students to seek blessings before they venture into study in the day and before they go for sleep in the night. It is also a place where students come together and pray for the well being of the sentient beings.
    5. Dinning Hall
Estimated cost : Nu.4500,000 (Ngultrum Four Hundred Fifty Thousand only) Approx USD 6800 only.
There is no dinning hall where students can have convenient place for eating meals. The meals are provided in the temporary shack at present. Having dinning hall is important to provide clean and hygienic foods to the students for their health and well being. Hence, a decent dinning hall structure is a must for the Institute
